Planning/Scheduler Manager
We are looking for an innovative Planning / Scheduler Manager to develop and construct a high-rise building apartment / Office type range of projects of the physically and naturally built environment from conception through to completion.

Qualification & Experience:
Graduated from engineering departments of universities
A proven track record in engineering and construction of High Rise Building (min 12 floors) or similar facilities
A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Expert with Primavera P6 and spreadsheets, with databasecapability
Self-motivated, energetic and tenacious
Good Knowledge of planning control principles (WBS, critical path, progress, EVM...)
Good knowledge of planning tools (MS Project and Primavera).
Must have of minimum of 12 years working experience on similarprojects
Proven appropriate experience within a similar role in project
Location: in and around Lagos.

Studying and understanding all relevant documents and conditions pertaining to the project, Establishing and defining job orientated project control procedures
Defining primary job objectives clearly at project and departmental management levels by highlighting schedule and cost requirements
Organizing and directing the activities of the project controlteam
Ensuring the maintenance of both time and cost trend statistics
Monitoring and comparing both schedule and cost reports and relating conclusions such that management control action is alerted at the right time
Reviewing actual site progress against planned progress, particularly with regard to manpower levels, productivity, construction metrics and payment
Liaising with other departments at all meetings relative to project operations, to ensure that information affecting schedule and cost is continually up-dated
Co-ordination of the final job statistics and analysis of the effectiveness of procedures for possible improvement on futureprojects
Providing feedback on key project issues to Client on a timelybasis

Cost Management, Baseline Management, Monitoring and Control, Layouts, Threshold
Issue Management, Critical Path Reports, Look Ahead Reports

Understanding the Scope of work, contractual Start and Finish dates of the Contractors
Understanding the Major Milestones of the project
Establishing the Progress Measurement weightages for Phase /
Review Contractor’s Weekly & Monthly Progress Reports
Follow up with contractor for project controls related issues like
Schedule update, MOM, Progress Reports, Material Reports, Manpower, Reports, etc
Prepare & Submit Progress reports to Top Management
Get the delay analysis from the contractors and present it to theClient
Get the S-Curves from Contractors and prepare overall S-Curve for the project.

Identify Issues and communicate to the Management
Arrange for weekly and monthly Progress Meetings.
Expedite Contractors for timely submission of Reports, MOM
Communicate with Contractors, Team Leader for Project relatedmatters
Finding areas of concern & providing solutions to TopManagement
Coordinate with Construction Manager for Site related issues.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbalEnglish
Well Conversant in primavera and Microsoft office
Earn value knowledge is an advantage

Planning Engineer /Scheduler
Qualification & Experience:
Engineering Degree / HND /BSC in Degree
5 years minimum of experience in planning management in High Rise Building or similar facilities
Good Knowledge of planning control principles (WBS, critical path, progress, EVM...).
Good knowledge of planning tools (MS Project and/or Primavera).
Understanding of organizational and strategic planning process would be appreciated.
Experience in Construction of High rise Building is an advantage.

Plan and schedule the project by developing a project master schedule in line with the proposal requirement through the application of the primavera P6 software.
Indentify the project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets to determine the staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project through the project measurement system.
Schedules, plans and oversees the entire program of work
Plans, organizes, and coordinates planning activities
Implement the work schedule and monitor progress of the work for timely execution of the project
through daily/weekly/monthly/ reports with respect to review of the overall project.
Progress monitoring of specific projects on a regular basis. Anticipate and resolve any problems,
bottlenecks/scheduling conflicts. Prepare and maintain package work plans and monitor progress to achieve on time or earlier deliveries to keep the project on schedule.
Inputs the work breakdown structure information in means to assess an accurate forecast on time, resources and cash flow of the project Maintains and updates stationary & rotating equipment technical records, prepares technical reports, helps in generating data for inputs to budgets, improvement in maintenance methods/procedures, equipment replacement, etc.
Sets up alerts for all important contractual and milestone dates
Verifies critical path and interfaces between design/ engineering/ procurement / execution
Monitors progress periodically and compares it with the baseline planning
Prepares the monthly Progress reports
Prepares the monthly Labor histograms

Qualification & Experience: Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering. NSE / COREN certificate will be mandatory. Must have of minimum of 10 years working experience Proven appropriate experience within a similar role and similar project Roles and Responsibilities: Designs construction projects by studying project concept and architectural drawings Prepares engineering design by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs Prepares feasibility study by analyzing engineering design; conducting environmental impact studies; assembling data Prepares engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress; inspecting construction site; verifying calculations and placements Fulfills project requirements by training and guiding operators Maintains operations by enforcing project and operational policies and procedures Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering data; completing backups.
