POSITION: Agbada Field HSE Adviser
Permit to Work system, Accident and incident investigation, Organize and coordinate Emergency alarms and evacuation drills, Able to elaborate specific emergency procedures and ensure related training activities in what concerns safety, health and environmental. Supervision of work permits and PTW meetings. Drugs and Alcohol awareness. Ensure that the staff of location understand and follow the PTW system procedures, assumes responsibilities. Conducted site inspections in order to monitor the activities of Project team and contractors to comply with PTW. Instruction and induction of new project personnel; Advise and support management and supervisory personnel on HSE issues; Undertaking random spot-checks on the project site and to verify compliance with the Project HS&E plan; Instructing and assessing the relevant subcontractors to verify their compliance to the applicable project HS&E requirements; Reporting and investigation of Accidents, Damages, Environmental Loss and Near Miss; Administrating and reviewing regular the Project HS&E plan, to ensure that the HS&E plan is kept up to date. Perform HS&E inspections on a regular basis. Various checklists are available. Action lists should be made on the basis of these inspections and be discussed with the responsible persons for the follow-up.
Cooperated with Supervisors and performing authorities in order to prevent overlapping of work permits and activities. Assist Area HSE Team Lead in implementing ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 programs, Facilitate HSE meeting for staff and contractors & HSE Awareness Training, Learning from incident, HSE Presentations etc for field staff, Facilitate emergency drills, statutory and non statutory inspections as per HSE plan and disseminate learning points, Participate in Internal/ external audits, Promote incident reporting (near miss, unsafe act/condition), Take part in incident investigation, Disseminate HSE incident learning points. Facilitate documentation and close out of action items. Report non-compliance to Area HSE advisor also drives/ follows up on Action close out. Ensure district contractors’ compliance to Safety also supervise their performance. Ensure all controlled documents are kept in the fields/ offices, maintain all records. Ensure compliance on PTW management. Co-coordinate office related HSE activities e.g. Maintain training, medical records, organize/ undertake office HSE inspections, Update HSE notice board in the offices/ facilities. Support to the relevant line management with regards to HSE matters. Emergency Response: Planned and simulated Emergency Response scenarios to reflect risk profiles in the facilities.
Take part in relevant management improvement programmes and yearly performance review. Support Goal Zero related activities in PEL1 assets
Provide induction and training to team Contractor as well as subcontractor when required. Attend the weekly / Monthly HSE meeting with client to follow all safety issues.
Assist the HSE unit to carry out the risk assessment as per the procedure to identify potential hazards and define the appreciate safety measures to be adapted, issue specific instruction in case of particular hazardous jobs. Prepare toolbox meeting for daily activities. Prepare and write all document HSE related for submission to HSE Supervisor, and Review all document related to HSE in coordination with HSE Supervisor approval.
